This venue is equipped with 600,000 sq. ft. of exhibit space (486,600 sq. ft. of it contiguous), five spacious exhibit halls, 45 meeting rooms totaling 109,000 sq. ft., 32,000 sq. ft. of pre- function space, and 29 loading docks,. The convention center is committed to preserving its unique seaside environment while pro- viding a safe, healthy atmosphere for guests. "Going Green" has consistently been one of the Center's main operating objectives. Several initiatives have already been implemented throughout the facility while others are in the works. The Convention Center is the centerpiece of a multi-million dollar redevelopment plan that includes the $90 million renova- tions to Historic Boardwalk Hall, the Sheraton Convention Center Hotel, Tanger Outlets The Walk, Atlantic City's retail and entertainment complex, and many new casino and expansion projects. Number of Meeting Rooms: 45 Telephone: (609) 449-2000 Website: www.meetac.com BIRMINGHAM/JEFFERSON CONVENTION COMPLEX The Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex (BICC) is Alabama's largest convention address, with meeting facilities all on one campus. The BJCC complex campus has 350,000 sq. ft. of convention and exhibition space. The complex includes an 18,000-seat arena and 4,000 seats in two the- aters. Two hotels, The Sheraton Birmingham Hotel and Westin Birmingham, are also part of the complex. The complex also includes Uptown entertain- ment district and Top golf. Throughout 2019, work will be done to improve and replace the elevated portions of the I-59/20 bridges that run through downtown Birmingham. In order to complete this transformational project, there will be bridge and road closures throughout the area. Travelers to and from the BJCC will need to use new routes during construction The centrally located, modern facility also includes 100,000 sq. ft. in 90 meeting rooms, and The Medical Forum, a conference facility unlike any other in the country that's equipped with state-of-the-art communications technology. The adjoining Sheraton Birmingham Hotel, offers 757 modern guest rooms, while the Wyndham Birmingham boasts 294 rooms.
