LABOR REPORT UNION LABEL Low voter turnout was an important factor in Donald Trump winning the Presidency in 2016. Boosting voter turnout in California begins now to ensure everyone eligible to vote does. To make sure CDG membership will be ready to vote and make sure California has a strong turnout at the polls in the Presidential Primary Election March 3, 2020, here is a list of resources to empower your voter readiness. REGISTERING TO VOTE If you're unsure about your voter status, you can check at County Voter Registration Verification - lavote.net. Re-register to vote when you: 1. Change address 2. Change name 3. Change political party. The registration form is available at: registertovote.ca.gov. Complete and fax to (562) 864-6786 or mail to the Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk, Voter Records Division, P.O. Box 30450, Los Angeles, CA 90030-0450. VOTING OPTIONS • By Mail: Early voting is convenient and begins 29 days before Election Day. Voters do not have to wait for Election Day to cast their ballot. All registered voters in Los Angeles County can vote early. To become a permanent voter by mail: • Online: Complete a new voter registration application and mark the "Permanent Vote by Mail" box. • By Mail: Complete and return a Permanent Vote by Mail application, send to Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk, P.O. Box 30450, Los Angeles, CA 90030-0450. Vote by Mail Applications can also be found on the back cover page of your Official Sample Ballot booklet. • In Person: Find your voting/polling place: sos.ca.gov/elections/polling-place. Know the issues and where the candidates stand on the issues: climate change, healthcare, education, economy and infrastructure, jobs, gun violence, immigration, equal rights, and pay equity.
