B M & T ••• July/August 2019 ••• www.blackmeetingsandtourism.com 26 fun local events like Jazz in the Park, Bastille Days, and Holiday Lights can enhance meeting groups' experience. Jewish Milwaukee Museum is another not-to-miss site. Dedicated to preserving the history of Jewish people in the Greater Milwaukee area, the museum offers a variety of exhibits and special programming. This is not only an amaz- ing tour experience, but can also be a remarkable venue with floor-to-ceiling windows and exhibits access. There are several more sites in the City of Steeples and choosing can be difficult. That's why Milwaukee Food & City Tours can drive your group around to places like these on its Churches and Chocolates Tour. Take in the sights of Milwaukee's religious architecture while enjoying sweet treats along the way. Just outside of the city limits, is the Basilica of the National Shrine of Mary at Holy Hill. A beautiful drive through lush greenery – or fall colors in autumn – guests can see Holy Hill rising above the trees as they approach. Once there, walk up the hill passing by grottos dedicated to the stages of the cross. Inside the Basilica, participate in services if you choose and explore the beautiful architecture.
