people ANDREW R. EVENSKI Rochester, NY's Eastman Kodak Company has promoted Andrew R. Evenski to president/GM of the company's Entertainment Imaging division. Kodak says Evenski's new role represents the company's ongoing focus on its motion picture film business. Most recently, he was VP of Kodak's Corporate Finance Group supporting Consumer and Commercial Digital Imaging. EVENSKI SUNTER MEYER JOHN SUNTER John Sunter, who specializes in motion graphics, animation and directing, has joined MPC Motion Design Studio in London. He joins MPC from Sky Creative and has experience in concepting and creating channel identities, promos and film titles. His early career included work on animated titles for the Emmy-nominated The Life and Death of Peter Sellers. He created the MGM Channel re-brand and most recently created and directed the new SkyBond Channel ID produced with MPC Creative. CHRIS NOELLERT VFX/design studio Carbon, headquartered in NYC, has added Chris Noellert as creative director/lead Flame artist at its new LA office. Noellert joins Carbon LA from Motion Theory/ Mirada, where he led projects such as the Target summer campaign, Wrigley 5 Gum, and most recently HP Red Black. Previously, Noellert spent 12 years in Sweden helping to build The Chimney Pot brand in Stockholm, Warsaw, and Norway, before opening his own studio, Syndicate Entertainment in 2000. STEVE MEYER Twenty-five-year post veteran Steve Meyer has joined FuseFX. An Emmy- and VES-winning VFX supervisor and artist, he comes to FuseFX to work on CBS's Criminal Minds, in addition to other projects. Most recently, he was at Zoic for for 10 years, during which time he had many responsibilities, including 2D facility supervisor, VFX supervisor and Flame artist. He also worked as a compositing supervisor on True Blood, Fringe, White Collar and CSI. Prior to Zoic, Meyer was at Radium and 525 Studios. Lahr joins BigSmack after five-plus years at Discovery Channel, as well as the Science Channel and Investigation Discovery. Lahr began his career as an agency producer at NYC-based shops Griffin Bacal and D'arcy, before becoming a producer at Shoot NZ Film Company in New Zealand. Lahr later returned to the US as an executive producer at PBS headquarters. After three years at PBS, he joined BigSmack's Andy Hann at Concrete Pictures in 2006. TOSCANO HARMS ALBA VINCENT TOSCANO Bi-coastal studio Tool has added Vincent Toscano as senior interactive developer. He has a background in developing HTML5 and Flash experiences for interactive ads and gaming apps across multiple mediums. He joins Tool after a run as senior developer at various LA creative agencies, including Famous Group Interactive and Kastner & Partners. He also spent time as an associate professor at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, teaching Web design and development, graphic design and visual communications. OLIVER HARMS Dynamics processing company Junger Audio has hired Oliver Harms as technical sales for the Asia region. Harms has experience in audio and hardware development, having previously worked for Native Instruments, GSP-Audiotechnologies and Formac. He also has a thorough knowledge of Asian culture and speaks and writes fluent Mandarin. Harms will primarily be based in Junger's head office in Berlin, but will be making regular trips to the Far East to support sales activity in the region. ERIC ALBA Brooklyn-based design agency Hush, after working with lead producer Eric Alba on the Camp Victory project for Nike, has hired him as full time lead technical producer. Alba is an Emmy- and VES-award-winning artist, who is also highly technical. He has worked in television, film and commercials as both an on-set and post VFX supervisor, often integrating the latest front- and back-end creative technologies.
