5 Your WEA at Work Nate Neujahr became the Graphic Design Specialist for the WEA in August. He is a recent graduate from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Fine Art concentrating in graphic design, and a minor in Information Systems and Technology. Prior to joining the WEA, Nate freelanced and interned with various clients and organizations such as JUR Press – Colorado State University, YOakleyPR (non- profit based), and the Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra. He has a great passion for the full spectrum of design and the arts. He finds collaboration and the idea development process key to design. He is originally from Montana but has lived in New York and Colorado. Hiking, skiing, painting, drawing and photography are a few of Nate's hobbies. His wife, Steph, is an elementary music teacher and together they have a dog, a Brittany named Zoey. Elise Robillard comes to us from Norman, Oklahoma, and brings with her a wealth of Association experience. She held a three- year term as a full-time release President for The Education Association of Moore. She also served on the Oklahoma Education Association Board of Directors and the NEA Time to Learn Committee. Elise has many accomplishments as a teacher. She is a National Board Certified Teacher of French. She has taught Advanced Placement classes and at the college level. She has traveled abroad with students and even lived in France for many years. She has mentored many teachers and served on state curriculum committees. Elise received the NEA Foundation Global Learning Fellowship, the California Casualty Award for Teaching Excellence, and the Oklahoma EA NFIE Award for Teaching Excellence. She is no stranger to Wyoming, having spent four summers in Ten Sleep during her youth. Tamsin (Tammy) Schroeder's passion for students, teaching, and the legal system make her a great choice as the new WEA Government Relations Director. Tammy comes to WEA after a long career in public education in Wyoming: she taught English for sixteen years at Laramie Sr. High School and worked at the Wyoming Department of Education. During her years teaching, Tammy was an active member of Albany County Education Association and WEA, serving as a building rep, local president, and the chair for the Business and Platforms Committee. She graduated in May with a juris doctorate, focusing on education and employment law, including studies in labor law and workers' compensation. Tammy has three children—Kelly, Sally, and Heidi—and is active in the Laramie community.
