Karl's Korner THOUGHTS FROM WENTE VINEYARDS' FIFTH- GENERATION WINEGROWER, KARL WENTE I have always been a huge proponent of both music and wine. For as long as I can remember, both have captivated me in unique and powerful ways. Creating a beautiful fi nal product from a seemingly endless list of elements (this applies to wine as well as music) gives me a sense of self-worth and accomplishment. That being said, I am excited to announce that my band, The Front Porch, released our fi rst studio album, Evermore, on July 14. The inspiration behind the album was to encapsulate what my friends and I love doing on my front porch, mak- ing music and enjoying wine. The song-writing is a collaborative effort between Tim and Suzanna Spring and myself. I am incredibly proud of everything I attach my name to, and my music is no exception. Like the wine my family has produced for fi ve generations, this album is the result of hard work, passion and dedication. I hope that the joy I had making the album comes across in each and every song and that listeners can picture themselves sitting on the front porch, sipping a glass of wine, looking over the beautiful Livermore Valley. Karl Wente, Fifth-Generation Winegrower at Wente Vineyards, is also a professional musician.
