It was of great importance to Denzel
Washington that the neighborhood, home
and backyard be faithful to the economic
standing of Troy's family. To that end, we
relied, almost entirely, on the photographs
of Charles 'Teenie' Harris, who chronicled
the lives of the Hill District's African-
American community from 1935 to 1975 for
THE PITTSBURGH COURIER.
