Above: A production photograph of a jazz bar in New York City in 1957. Left: An Illustrator ® sketch by Ms. Beachler of Miles playing at the jazz bar. Opposite page: Don Cheadle, as Miles in 1957, playing trumpet during one of his many memories of his life during his adventures in 1979. This space was used during a dreamlike state as he left Columbia Records in the elevator. He pushes out the back of the elevator to see his younger self at the top of his career. The elevator was built on a platform/stage that was painted black and surrounded with black curtains to create the void.
