{ SOMMjournal.com }  117 Thursday morning began with SOMM Camp's final winery experience—a vertical tasting at the award-winning Eberle Winery. Owner Gary Eberle led the tasting. It was educational, delicious and—with the hilari- ous and towering former football star at the helm—laugh-out loud funny. The SOMM Camp crew then headed to the luxurious Allegretto Vineyard Resort in Paso Robles, to lead and participate in the last of the CABs of Distinction symposiums—and the long-awaited "Judgment of Paso." The Judgment Is In—and Paso Robles Cabs Come Out as Winners by Ilona Thompson On April 14, a momentous event took place in Paso Robles. Titled "Judgment of Paso" and sponsored by the Paso Robles CAB (Cabernet and Bordeaux) Collective, it was a riff on the historic "Judgment of Paris" tasting that launched the New versus Old World debate. The tasting was the culmination of the organization's two-day CABs of Distinction symposium, which attracted prominent trade and media to Paso Robles.
