Spring 2016 The Costume Designer 41 CD Danny Glicker is in Montreal designing the untitled Darren Aronofsky film, starring Jennifer Lawrence, Javier Bardem, Michelle Pfeiffer, Ed Harris, Domhnall Gleeson, and Brian Gleason. CD Peggy Schnitzer, with CD Anita Cabada assisting, is work- ing on the ABC drama The Catch, starring Mireille Enos and Peter Krause. The show shoots in Los Angeles. CD Shay Cunliffe is in the middle of shooting Universal's Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed in Vancouver. The two films are being shot simultaneously with new director James Foley. New cast members Kim Basinger and Eric Johnson join the core team from the first film. Both films prepped in Los Angeles. CD Mayes C. Rubeo has teamed up again with ACD Stacy Ca- ballero on the new Marvel movie Thor: Ragnarok. The feature is shooting in Australia with Taika Waititi directing and stars Cate Blanchett, Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Hopkins, Tom Hiddleston, and Mark Ruffalo. CD Laura Goldsmith has been in Atlanta for the last 10 months designing the series Game of Silence for Sony/NBC and Devious Maids for Lifetime/ABC. BFN - WORK IN FOCUS BOLDFACE NAMES Several members took part of Grease Live!, designed by Local 829's William Ivey Long. CD Nanrose Buchman was the ACD and CDs Terry Ann Gordon and Craig Ames were costumers. Gordon called the live broadcast an "Amazing production to work on. Awe- some." CD Wendy Chuck and ACD Margaret Robbs are hard at work on the latest project from Academy Award-winning director Alex- ander Payne. Downsizing, starring Matt Damon and Kristen Wiig, is a political satire that explores a world in which a man has to start his life over at five feet tall. Grease Live! crew Snapple commercial CD Trayce Gigi Field designed a fun Snapple commercial with ACD Bryan Kopp assisting. They created a bald eagle from papier màché, a walkabout Liberty Bell, and a Declaration of Inde- pendence. Dave Laden directed. CD Molly Grundman-Gerbosi just wrapped the ABC half-hour comedy pilot Randall & Hilda Are Not a Couple. She will start shooting How to Be a Latin Lover for Lionsgate in May. The com- edy feature will shoot in Los Angeles with CD Jennie Compton illustrating. Containment for The CW CD Julia Schklair recently designed two David Nutter pilots. The first was entitled Containment for The CW. The Atlanta-based proj- ect was written and produced by Julie Plec. Jennifer May Nickel took over in the second episode (the two shared credit for this episode). Schklair is currently in Atlanta on a pilot for an untitled paranormal thriller from Kevin Williamson. CD Kathleen Detoro designed the pilot for the series Training Day, shot in Los Angeles. CD Alison Freer is designing the second season of School of Rock at Paramount with CD Aubrey Binzer assisting. The project, an adaptation of the Jack Black film, is a particularly good fit for Freer, as it's set in her hometown of Austin, TX.
