He speaks English with an austere Austrian accent, he looks like a prince when he has a wine glass in his hand and his warm and hospitable nature defi nes the word diplomat. Yet the CEO of Riedel Crystal, the 11th-generation head of the family-owned com- pany based in Kufstein, Austria, still refers to himself as the descendant of a line of glassblowers: He began learning the family trade at age 12.
