the AEA has built a network of 13,000 participants who are connected online to their elected offi cials and AEA and NEA leaders and lobbyists. Since the 2009 legislative session, this network has generated hundreds of thousands of emails to Arizona legislators in support of great public schools for every Arizona child. Get connected to Arizona's largest and most effective cyberlobbying network supporting children and public education. How it works: • The AEA Legislative Update is sent to you every week during the Arizona legislative session and periodically when the legislature is not in session. • The NEA Insider is also sent to you every week while Congress is in session and, when necessary, while Congress is in recess. • These publications are brief summaries of issues and bills that affect our schools and allow you to call or send email responses to your legislators or congressional representatives with one click of a button. • Sample email and phone scripts, tips for writing effective messages, background links on issues, and links to other resources are also at your fi ngertips. • Information about how to deepen and strengthen your infl uence through attendance at lobbying events, local legislative hearings, and other grass-roots lobbying activities are also included for those who want to get more involved. How to sign up: • Any public education supporter sign up online on the AEA website at www.arizonea.org and clicking on "Subscribe to the AEA Legislative Update." • Provide your home email address rather than school email address. • You will receive a confi rmation email. Respond to the email to complete the registration process. AEA Legislative Update Get connected to Arizona's largest and most effective cyberlobbying
