ISEA members filled several boxes with non-perishable items for the Northeast Iowa Food Bank and then took in a game. Mary Jane Fields and Mary Jane Blair stand with Iowa State Education Association Executive Director Mary Jane Cobb at the Lincolnway UniServ Unit's 2015 Friends of Education Dinner. Fields and Blair are called the "Mary Jane Readers" in Greene County Schools. They have been reading to 4th, 5th and 6th grade students for an hour every Monday for the last five years. East Central UniServ Unit Directors Coy Marquardt stocks shelves at the Bidwell Riverside Food Bank in Des Moines. The Bidwell Riverside center distributed more than 500,000 food items in 2014. Marquardt and other ISEA staff helped the Bidwell staff stock shelves, clean the parking lot and serve clients at the center.
