12  /  the tasting panel  /  june 2015 INDUSTRY SPOTLIGHT Rocco Lombardo, formerly of Frederick Wildman and Sons, succeeded Jack Daniels as President of Wilson Daniels at the beginning of June. Lombardo will be based in Wilson Daniels' headquar- ters in St. Helena, California and the company's soon to be established New York office. Lombardo is a 20-year industry veteran with extensive leadership experi- ence in the importing and wholesale of fine wines. "I have every confidence that Rocco brings to Wilson Daniels the right experi- ence and leadership qualities that will deliver tremendous value to our industry partners and customers," says Chris Underwood, Chief Executive Officer. "We were very strategic about finding the right person to lead Wilson Daniels, and Rocco is that person." Jordan Vineyard & Winery has hired Nick Holmes as Western Regional Sales Director. Holmes brings more than ten years of winery, on-premise and retail sales experience to the position. A California native, Holmes will be responsible for distributor manage- ment, Jordan sales initiatives and Tastevin tablet wine list integration in Alaska, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. He most recently served as Region Manager for The Spire Collection, a division of Jackson Family Wines focused on its luxury portfolio. APPOINTMENTS Rocco Lombardo. Nick Holmes. Charbay Joins the Henry Wine Group's Portfolio H enry Wine Group will represent Charbay Whiskeys and Brandy, as well as the Tequila Tapatio line that Charbay imports. Henry has been step- ping up its spirits presence in California with several Spirits Specialists now on board. The two family-run businesses feel the match fits well with their goals. Marko Karakasevic, Charbay's Master Distiller and family member, will now have time to greet visitors at the Charbay production distillery in Ukiah, CA. Opening date to be announced. ? Did You Know?
