February 2015 isea.org • ISEA Communiqué 14 MEMBERS AT WORK Nearly 500 books are boxed up and waiting for delivery at Iowa State Education Association headquarters for Read Across America Day 2015. ISEA staff will travel to Charles City in northeastern Iowa for the March 2 event which runs from 5 – 7 pm in the Zastrow River Room at the Charles City Public Library. The National Education Association has good tips on how to plan a local Read Across America Day on its website at www.nea.org/grants/plan-a-reading-event.htm. Wheeler and Hall were a part of a group of more than 100 ISEA members and supporters who talked with lawmakers about support for public education students, schools and professionals.
