Responsibility was the top priority, and Pacifi co, in partnership with California Yellow Cab, distributed thousands of $5 cab vouchers at more than 20 on-premise establishments in Huntington Beach, and provided free rides on bicycle-powered Pacifi co rickshaws. The beer was fi rst introduced to the U.S. by surfers on trips to Baja California, and Pacifi co paid homage to its surfi ng history by hosting nine on-premise events with 2009 and 2010 U.S. Open of Surfi ng Champion Brett Simpson, who served as a guest bar- tender pouring Pacifi co on draft. Bauder is the new Bourbon Category Business Team (CBT) General Manager of Beam Global Spirits & Wine, Inc. In this role, Bauder will lead Beam's largest, top-performing spirits category and spearhead the con- tinued growth of all bourbon brands in the U.S., including Jim Beam, Maker's Mark, Knob Creek and Basil Hayden's. Before joining Beam, Bauder served as S. C. Johnson's Vice President Marketing, International Markets.
