FOLEY WINE ESTATES 93 Flora Springs 2012 Malbec, Ghost Winery, Napa Valley ($55) Dark, smooth and lush with rich texture, ripe blackberry and sweet oak; intense and seamless with great depth and finesse; long and lovely. 95 Pahlmeyer 2012 Jayson Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley ($75) A stunning effort from Jayson Pahlmeyer : lush and thick with pure toasty Cabernet essence; ripe blackberry, cassis and black cherry play on the palate with notes of licorice, chocolate and sweet vanilla oak; generous and actually quite reasonably priced.
