F AGE OF RIBERA The second portion of our Miami tasting introduced a group of Importers to 14 wines looking for representation. We are grateful to all those who attended and participated in tasting the wines blind, and who were open to discussion as we tasted. The Bazaar's own in-house Sommelier, Lou Sentenat was also on-hand to taste the diverse selection of Ribera wines, and Jonathan Cristaldi pro- vides his tasting notes here. IMPORTERS Blind #1: Vega Clara 2012 Diez Almendros Roble J. C.'s tasting notes: Bright cherry, sweet oak, young gripping tannins, fresh and fruity with nice minerality. Blind #3: Bodega Hacienda Ernestina Solano 2009 Cosecha J. C.'s tasting notes: Lovely restrained red fruit, mouth- drying tannins, oaky but well integrated. Blind #2: Bodegas Lambuena 2012 Lambuena Roble J. C.'s tasting notes: Medium- to full-bodied, integrated oak and fresh fruit, toasted oak and coffee aromas. Blind #4: Carrasvilla 2011 Terralux Crianza J. C.'s tasting notes: Toffee and butterscotch nose, raspberries and sweet oak, vanillin marked by young, mouth-watering tannins. Martin G.
