PLATTEN BILL TOPAZIO PostWorks,New York has hired Bill Topazio as VP of engineering.Topazio brings more than 20 years of experience as a post engineer, most re- cently working as a senior member of the engi- neering team for the Company 3 and Method fa- cilities in NYC. In his new role, he will make sure that compatible workflows and engineering stan- dards are in place both locally, as well as between the studio and affiliates, such as Laser Pacific in Hollywood. TOPAZIO NATALEE ALERING, KRISTINA CASPARI Advanced Systems Group in Emeryville, CA, has hired Natalee Alering as its new purchasing manager.The systems integration company has also expanded the role of Kristina Caspari, who has been with ASG since 2006. She will now take on duties as an operations manager and will be challenged with streamlining operations. Alering is a 17-year veteran of the video indus- try, with previous positions at Bay Area Video Coalition and ILM, among others. She will be re- sponsible for managing equipment purchases and inventories for the company and its customers. CASPARI VINCENT EADE Snell in Reading, UK, has named Vincent Eade to its European sales team. He serves as regional sales manager for the Nordics and Ireland, and will be responsible for building Snell’s sales presence and installed base throughout the Nordic region via direct customer relationships and distribution channel management. Prior to joining Snell, Eade was technical account manager for Sony UK. He also served as a product manager for Sony, and has held other sales positions, including sales man- ager at Harris/Leitch, and area sales manager for Quantel. Eade was a broadcast engineer for TV3, and also served in customer/technical support po- sitions for Quantel and Leitch. CHRIS GRENIER Full-service SNIDOW creative company BigSmack in Philadelphia has added Chris Grenier as cre- ative director. Grenier was most recently VP/copy supervisor at Campbell-Ewald in Warren, MI. Gre- nier spent 10 years at Campbell-Ewald, working on campaigns for Chevrolet, OnStar, the US Postal Service, Kaiser-Permanente, Alltel Wireless, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and the National Fatherhood Initiative. NEIL WEINER Neil Weiner has joined Visual Media Group (VMG) as the VP of business development. Lo- cated in Bellevue,WA,VMG is a creative produc- tion company with production, editorial and stage facilities.Weiner will be in charge of growing VMG’s business.
