The Second Annual Hawaii Cocktail Week (HCW) will take place April 22–26, 2014, and it's one cocktail celebration that you will not want to miss. Founder Mike Prasad explains: "This year was largely an ambitious experiment. It only worked well due to the hard work of my team, bartenders, sponsors and distributors who all joined up to help make every event exceptional." The photos show this grand experiment in happy progress. "With the Second Annual Hawaii Cocktail Week next year, we are looking to expand the overall experience to make it more accessible to both industry and consumers," says Prasad. "We will also be doing many more food pairings and integrations and learning workshops to show attendees that craft cocktails can extend into their own kitchens and homes." Taking place at only the best craft cocktail bars and restaurants in Honolulu, HCW has to have one of the most beautiful settings of any cocktail week. Hawaii and cocktails—seriously, can you think of anything better? "We want to put the Hawaii cocktail scene on the map," says Prasad. "The goals are to set a stage for local and regional talents, educate consumers on a finer cocktail experience on par with the finest gourmet cuisine and invite talents from around the world to drive knowledge exchange."
