BOOMERANG A n Australian premium grape-based vodka made primarily from Chardonnay, Boomerang is so memorable, its taste will come back to your palate over and over again. This brand, owned by Chris Williams and his family, is distilled in the Barossa Valley. “We were the first premium vodka to come out of Australia,” Elise Williams tells THE TASTING PANEL. Boomerang is charcoal-filtered, distilled five times and is gluten-free. SRP $14; Foley Family Wines Our Panel Votes: Lively; sweet citrus, apple and melon with a mineral back. (MM) Guava and Golden Delicious apples; mellow and light with a citrus lift. (BL) Smooth vanilla spice; light texture with a firm finish; fresh and lingering. (ADB) Vibrant pear/apple nose finishes with lime and green grape; a touch of the tropical. (DO-G) Smooth, light and easy on the palate.
