He has worked across film, music videos, branded content and commercials, and has a portfolio that includes collaborations with brands such as Hennessy, Nike, Coppola Winery, FIFA, Puma and Apple, among others. His music video credits include projects for Schoolboy Q, Janelle MonĂ¡e, Olivia Rodrigo, Camila Cabello, Big Sean, JoJo and OneRepublic. Prior to joining Cut+Run, Sandoval enjoyed a successful career as an independent editor. TOM PETERSHACK Planar, the Hillsboro, OR-based provider of high-end LED and LCD display solutions, has promoted Tom Petershack to director of media and special projects. In his new role, he will lead the company's broadcast, vir- tual production (VP) and extended reality (XR) team. The appointment follows Planar's recent reorgani- zation of the company's media team, which combines broadcast, VP and XR into one vertical. Petershack has been with the company for eight years. For more than four years, he served as a regional account man- ager for metro New York. Previous roles also included project manager and project engineer. He is based in the greater Milwaukee area. MARY KATE VALENTINO Sonic Union is New York City has named Mary Kate (MK) Valentino executive producer. She joined the audio production company in 2018 and has enjoyed a successful tenure as a senior producer and client partnerships director before ascending to her new role. ALVIN CRUZ Jamm, the LA-based VFX and color studio, has hired Alvin Cruz to serve as creative lead on projects across their client roster. Originally from Spain, where he studied film directing, Cruz then spent many years in London and New York before moving to the West Coast. He brings a rich pedi- gree in visual effects and a penchant for pushing creative boundaries. In his new position as creative director, Cruz will play a pivotal role in spear- heading Jamm's creative endeavors as the studio continues to evolve and explore new developments in the world of visual effects. His directorial credits include an array of spots and branded content. He also served as VFX supervi- sor on the film Swiss Army Man. NOAH KISTLER San Francisco's Kaboom recently welcomed di- rector/editor Noah Kistler to its roster. He brings a love of storytelling that is personal, emotional and highly cinematic. Raised on the East Coast, Kistler is now an LA- based director and editor who's cut movie trailers and documentaries for the likes of A24, Netflix, Neon, Paramount, Sony Pictures, Hulu, PBS, Discovery and Magnolia Pictures. His commercial credits include spots for Polaris and Greats. A recent campaign via GSD&M, captured the essence of the US Air Force Maintainers and brought his skills to the attention of Kaboom, who witnessed firsthand his ability to work under conditions that involved propriety, passion and skill. MATT OSBORNE Senior colorist Matt Osborne has moved from Company 3's Los Angeles studio to become a part of their New York roster. He brings a wealth of experi- ence and expertise to the East Coast team, boasting a portfolio that spans commercials, feature films and music videos for stars that include Ariana Grande, Dua Lipa and Drake. Osborne has collaborated with numerous directors, including Darren Aronofsky, Theodore Melfi and Warren Fu. He's also left his mark on projects for brands such as Google, Nike, Amazon and Lexus. Most recently, he collab- orated with director Park Chan Wook on The Sympathizer, HBO's upcoming war-drama series that was produced A24. MAXINE GERVAIS Harbor in Los Angeles has added Maxine Gervais as its newest senior colorist. Gervais, who is an associate member of the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC), brings deep experience from having worked on more than 50 feature films. She received an HPA award for Outstanding Color Grading for work on Albert Hughes' Alpha, and was also recognized by the Hollywood Professional Association with nominations for color grading on The Book of Eli and Pacific Rim. Additional credits include Ryan Coogler's Black Panther, Clint Eastwood's Cry Macho and Peacock's The Continental: From the World of John Wick. TAYLOR SCHAFER Modern Post, the bicoastal creative post production studio, has added colorist Taylor Schafer to its roster of creative talent. She bringing almost a decade of experience in the post industry, having served as an assistant editor at AMC Networks, and as both an assistant editor and colorist at Uppercut, where she became the studio's first colorist. Schafer's portfolio includes collaborations with Volvo, Meta, Verizon, MLB, Oscar de la Renta, Dockers and Victoria's Secret. JONATHAN ROGERS Editor Jonathan Rogers has partnered with commer- cial production and post company Bella in Nashville, TN, for commercial representation across the US. A veteran filmmaker, who is deeply dedicated to visual storytelling, Rogers has been editing for over 20 years, cutting narrative and documentary feature films and television series, high profile music videos, and commercials, and brand films for clients that include Amazon, Honda, IBM, Microsoft, Dodge Ram, Spotify and Toyota. SAM DALEY Senior colorist Sam Daley has joined the global roster at Picture Shop in Los Angeles, bringing nearly 25 years of experience that includes working on such se- ries as HBO's Succession and Amazon's Dead Ringers. He has also contributed to features that include The Florida Project, Sorry to Bother You, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood and Barbarian. Picture Shop has locations in New York City, Los Angeles, Toronto and Vancouver, with international locations in the UK that include London, Manchester, Bristol, Wales and Pinewood Studios. Prior to joining Picture Shop, Daley was at Light Iron and Company 3.
