Dubbed Nova, the new firmware introduces repeatable movements to Agito, provides a more ergonomic and streamlined user interface for the system's remote control, and signals toward the future direction the company plans to take Agito. Developed following consultation with the company's end-users, the firm- ware has been redesigned from the ground up to make Agito's operation more intuitive for users. The introduction of a repeatable moves mode adds new capability into the Agito's toolkit in both free-roaming and track operation, providing five memory banks of three minutes each. A newly-unified UI now includes a dark mode; the ability to quickly switch between Sports, Trax and Repeatable Moves mode; realtime speed feedback to show how fast the system is moving; additional control mapping; enhanced Tower controls; and advanced steering modes, including steering angle hold for a perfect circle without a track. ATOMOS EXPANDS NINJA FAMILY OF MONITOR/RECORDERS MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA — Atomos (atomos.com) has expanded its Ninja family of monitor/recorders with a number of new products and a major up- date to its existing Ninja V. The original Ninja V, launched in 2018, now has the ability to add the H.265 (HEVC) codec. The five-inch, 1,000-nit, 10-stop HDR- monitor allows users to accurately monitor and record from either HDMI or SDI. Atomos continues to expand Apple ProRes RAW support on all partner cameras over HDMI and SDI. The Ninja V will continue to receive updates for cameras and additional functionality via AtomX modules while remaining at the price of $595. The H.265 upgrade will cost $99 and be available in May. Atomos has introduced the Ninja V+ and Ninja V+ Pro Kit, which builds on the foundation of the Ninja V. The Ninja V+ delivers high-quality, accurate monitoring and extended recording capabilities for the user's camera of choice. Designed for continuous recording of 8Kp30 and 4Kp120 in Apple ProRes RAW, the NinjaV+ includes the 10-bit H.265 (HEVC) codec for high quality compressed recordings with small file sizes. Ninja V+ sports a new stealth- grey bezel and will be able to record 8Kp30 ProRes RAW when connected to a Canon EOS R5 mirrorless camera. When used with the Cam E2 and E2-M4 models, the Ninka V+ can capture 4Kp120 recording at up to ProRes RAW. The unit can also play back the high-frame rate video for realtime preview. To support SDI users, Atomos has introduced the Ninja V+ Pro Kit, which comes packed with additional accessories and enables 4Kp120 ProRes RAW recording mode from the SDI RAW output of the Sony's FX9 and FX6. Customers of both Atomos and Sony will now be able to experience the benefits of working with images at high frame rates and resolutions, while recording in ProRes RAW directly from the Ninja V+ Pro Kit monitor/recorder for maximum flexibili- ty in the edit. Atomos has also introduced Ninja Stream, a social distance production tool that offers simul- taneous recording of both ProRes and H.264/5 proxy with shared file names and timecode, while also being capable of sending video feeds to other Ninjas, smart devices or web-based plat- forms simultaneously. Ninja Stream is a five- inch, 4Kp60 connected HDR monitor/recorder with wi-fi, Ethernet and USB-C. Video feeds are shared with others on set via wi-fi to devices and Ethernet 1Gbe at up to 300m. Content can also be livestreamed around the world without the need for a PC.
