The NexGuard Plug-In for Editing Software allows studios, content owners and post houses to en- sure protection of high-value assets when sharing pre-release content — feature films or TV series — with their editing department, reviewers or their creative agencies. The integration simplifies the watermarking process within the editing software while provid- ing traceability and a strong deterrent against pre-release content leaks. Avid's Media Composer is the first NLE to be able to implement the Nagra plug-in. The NexGuard Plug-In for Editing Software works as a simple video filter, quickly and seam- lessly adding a unique, robust and imperceptible forensic watermark to each copy of the content exported from the nonlinear editing software, regardless of input and output file formats. The plug-in is supported by the NexGuard Detection Service, a cloud-based forensic watermark detection service that is fast, highly scalable and fully automated. DELL RELEASES NEW PRECISION MOBILE WORKSTATIONS ROUND ROCK, TX — Dell Technologies (http://www.delltechnologies.com) has unveiled new Precision models aimed at making work more efficient and safe, no matter the location. The new PCs further advance Dell's commitment to sustainability, with recycled materials, sustainable packaging, energy efficient designs and EPEAT Gold registrations. Dell Optimizer is an automated Artificial Intelligence-based optimization technology that learns how each person works and adapts to their behavior. It works behind the scenes to improve overall application performance, enable faster log-in and secure lock outs, eliminate echoes and reduce background noise on conference calls, and ex- tend battery run time. The reengineered Precision mobile workstation portfolio is de- signed to handle demanding work- loads such as intensive graphics processing, data analysis and CAD modeling. With smaller footprints, sleek designs, and thermal inno- vations, the new Precision mobile workstations deliver increased performance and ISV certifications with professional graphics from Nvidia and the latest 10th Gen Intel Core vPro and Xeon processors. Designed for creators and professionals wanting high performance and stylish design without the size and weight of a traditional mobile workstation, the Precision 5550 and 5750 are some of the smallest and thinnest 15-inch and 17-inch mobile workstations available. Creators and engineers can see and do more with the 16:10, four-sided InfinityEdge display. The all-new Precision 5750 is also VR/AR and AI-ready to handle fast rendering, detailed visualizations and complex simulations. The Precision 5550 (left) is available now starting at $1,999, and the Precision 5750 (right) will be available in early June, starting at $2,399. LIGHT ILLUSION LAUNCHES COLOR MANAGEMENT SYSTEM LONDON — Light Illusion (www.lightillusion.com) has launched a new color management product called ColourSpace CMS. It is currently available for pre-order, enabling customers to participate in the open beta program, where they can provide feedback and input for the final release. ColourSpace CMS is a software program that connects to a wide variety of display calibration probes in order to accurately assess the color rendition of any display. It then creates color management data, which can be used to perfect color accuracy by uploading it into a display that has color management features. Alternatively, it can be applied as a correction to the signal feeding the display using associat- ed hardware. Some of the applications that ColourSpace CMS is well suited for include display calibration, color manage- ment, and color workflows within the professional film, post production, and broadcast industries. It can also be used by display manufacturers and home cinema enthu- siasts. ColourSpace CMS data is compati- ble with most color re- lated post production platforms, including Resolve, Flame and Baselight. Display manu- facturer Flanders Scientific has been actively involved in testing during the development of ColourSpace CMS.
