17 MPEG FELLOWSHIP & SERVICE AWARD 2019 Who Framed Roger Rabbit? (1988) is currently in the works with Spielberg's pre-Amblin blockbuster Jaws (1975) coming next. In the past few years, Cohen has also earned co-producer and associate producer credits with his post expertise on a number of features, most notably on Lionsgate's The Hunger Games (2012), shot on location in North Carolina. He related, "I came in to see the VFX and the post was going well. Enjoyable…but I didn't enjoy being away from my family." He and his wife Katherine have four children, all in Southern California. Maggie is a public defender in Riverside and has two children, Alexis and Maya. In Los Angeles are marriage and family counselor Gabriel and his wife Zynette; Hershel, who works at EFILM, and his wife, Maryessa; and middle school history teacher Elijah and wife Brianne. The regard that many people in the industry have for Cohen confirms why he is receiving the Fellowship and Service Award, but the last word remains with him: "When I was told I got this, I thought it was a mistake. I just stopped talking; I was humbled and honored." And he added, "I thought I employed great people and I promoted people according to their potential. "I always respect talent."
