Daniel Black Desert Edge High School Agua Fria District EA Steve Campbell Williams Field High School Higley EA Thomas R. Brown Athletics Grant 2019 This grant was developed in response to the pressure put on public schools to scale back on athletic programs due to shrinking state education budgets combined with the increasing demands to achieve higher academic results. Diversity Grant Amber Williams Tucson Education Association The AEA Diversity Grant is given to develop or pursue instructional programs or curriculum that promotes diversity, tolerance, and respect for humankind. AEA Partners in Education Award Mother Bunch Brewing Nominated by Leanne Abushar, Phoenix Elementary CTA Victory Assembly of God Nominated by Donna Youdelman, Flowing Wells Education Association This award demonstrates the AEA's strong believe in the importance of community support to the success of our public schools. The award honors corporations, local businesses, individuals, or community groups that exhibit exemplary support for local public schools. AEA School Public Relations Partnership Award Warren Cole accepting on behalf of Jennifer Liewer Tempe Union High School District Nominated by Steve Adams and Kim McElwain, Tempe Secondary Education Association This award is given to the public relations practitioner who shows exemplary performance in working with local education associations in promoting public schools.
