"Awesome!!! My grandmother was a dragon and Vikings came to my country (France) trying to kill all my ancestors," I offered. "I'm down for it. Please count me in!" Keith Cunningham, Production Designer of CAPTIVE STATE – page 84 I remember the unforgivingly cold wind chill off the lake made for an interesting preproducton and shoot here. Paint nozzles and camera parts were in constant need of thawing, not to mention the crew. Greg Berry, Production Designer of TRIPLE FRONTIER – page 61 J.C.'s son put it best when we were shut down for the second time, one week out from principal photography. He was asked, "What is your dad's superpower?" His reply, "He never gives up." Hannah Beachler, accepting the ADG Award for BLACK PANTHER – page 42 "This journey started six years ago on Fruitvale Station in a very awkward Skype interview... This journey of Panther has altered my life…just learning about who I am and really pushing the idea of design…it's your heart, it's your soul." Caylah Eddleblute, Co-production Designer of ALITA: BATTLE ANGEL – page 99 As Iron City was built, crew congregated in spots we'd pinpointed as social hubs. They sat on curbs, under arches, on the slum district steps, ate lunch in the taqueria. Watching people interact provides all your visual cues. The crew lit Iron City's soul.
