In addition to his work on feature films, Carlos has designed numerous award-winning commercials in South America, Europe and Southeast Asia receiving three nominations from the Art Directors Guild for Capital One, "What's in your wallet?" and the Macy's 2012 Christmas campaign. In addition to Production Design, Carlos is a licensed practicing architect and a member of The American Institute of Architects. E T H A N T O B M A N was born in Montreal, Canada, and attended NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. Recent films include Room, Beautiful Boy and the upcoming The Torture Report. Notable music videos include Beyoncé's Formation, Lemonade, Run the World and her On the Run Tour. He received VMA wins for Kendrick Lamar's All the Stars, Ariana Grande's No Tears Left to Cry and God Is a Woman, Madonna's Gimme All Your Luvin', Eminem's Not Afraid and OK Go's The Writing's on the Wall. Ethan's short film Remote was selected for the Cannes International Film Festival. J O N H U T M A N has most recently designed the films The House with a Clock in Its Walls and The Mummy. Before that, Hutman designed a series of films with director Angelina Jolie— Unbroken, By the Sea and In the Land of Blood and Honey. He first worked with Jolie on The Tourist, directed by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck. Hutman received ADG Award nominations for his work on Something's Gotta Give and Unbroken. For television, he was honored with both a Primetime Emmy Award and an Art Directors Guild Award for his design on the pilot episode of The West Wing. His other recent credits include Need for Speed and Rock of Ages. Hutman served as Production Designer on The Horse Whisperer, Quiz Show, A River Runs Through It, Dreamcatcher, Mumford and The Interpreter. His other feature-film credits include Coyote Ugly, Lolita, Nell, Flesh and Bone, Taking Care of Business, Trespass, Meet the Applegates and Little Man Tate. He earned his first credit as a feature-film Production Designer on Lehmann's cult favorite, Heathers. Hutman earned a degree in architecture from Yale University, where he also studied scenic design, painting and lighting at the university's School of Drama. He returned to his native Los Angeles and entered the film industry as an assistant in the Art Department on The Hotel New Hampshire and then as a set dresser on To Live and Die in L.A. Hutman earned Art Director credits on Wanted: Dead or Alive, Shag and Worth Winning, before moving up to design films on his own. C A R L O S M E N É N D E Z was born in Havana, Cuba, and studied architecture at the University of Texas at Austin. Upon graduation, Carlos joined the New York architecture firm Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates where he worked as an architect on high-rise commercial buildings. Carlos began work in the Art Department in the early 1990s, starting as an Art Director in Miami on the television series South Beach.
