What sets them apart from other places is being able to order fabrics within days when needed, and the ability to get yardage. My favourite Vancouver-based design team, who also specialise in leather, are Keith and Darryl from Ocean Drive Leather. Not only are they talented craftsmen, they have an in- house team that can create many different types of logos, laser- cut materials and of course, they can fit leather like no other. Ocean Drive is also the best recourse for leather hides. When not working through the weekend, my favourite way to relax is taking advantage of the amazing hiking and lush for- ests that surround the city. One of my top hiking destinations is called Deep Cove. It's located just outside of the city in North Vancouver. The hike takes you up a series of hills and stairs, and ends overlooking the mountains and oceanside. It is a com- pletely restorative outing following a long week. Afterward, I love to take myself out for a night of the most incredible Indian food at East is East! It has the wonderful dishes with vegan and vegetarian options and Wednesday through Sunday they play live Sufi-inspired music in candlelit ambience.
