ELEGANT DÉCOR MEETS EVIL VILLIAN As if to prove it's not all ancient underground forts and alien spaceships, the writers came up with a remarkable 'bad-guy' hideout in the form of a luxury penthouse in virtual reality. HYDRA is the main antagonist organization opposing S.H.I.E.L.D., and this would be the villainous Madam Hydra's home, made to fool Fitz and win his love. This cannot be a typical rusty and dirty hideout. Instead, the evil is hidden beneath a layer of elegance and sophistication. There would be floor-to-ceiling windows with city views, polished marble flooring, two floor-to-ceiling G walls made of solid marble, warm wood walls, custom divider screens to define spaces and a huge gold leaf ceiling. The oversized red marble walls were printed and the marble floor was painted on quarter-inch MDF panels. An imitation gold leaf was used for the ceiling to catch the light and enrich the look. Greg worked closely with set decorator Melissa Levander to capture the complexity of this new villain. There's a living room, dining room and office, all in an open floor plan. Melissa used white leather furniture, gold accents in the lighting and animal rugs on the white marble flooring. A four-foot diameter A.
