INDUSTRY SPOTLIGHT IN MEMORIAM BOOKS D avid S. Taub, Chairman and CEO of leading wine importer Palm Bay International, passed away in November in Long Island, NY following a long and valiant battle with kidney disease. He was 72 years old. David founded thriving import company Palm Bay in 1977 with his father, Martin Taub. Since 2005, his son Marc D. Taub, has stood together with him at the helm of what is a quintessential family business in every aspect, a sentiment whole-heartedly embraced by the company���s passionate 200+ employees. His generosity was legendary. David was a dedicated philanthroDavid S. Taub. pist, actively involved in charitable organizations such as the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation, the Parker Jewish Institute for Health and Rehabilitation, the American Cancer Society and the UJA Federation, to name just a few. His family shares and carries on this strong commitment to giving back. Recently, the Taub Transplant Research Fund was established at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Linda, their three sons��� Andrew, Marc and Joshua���and six grandchildren. David S. Taub will be deeply missed. His indomitable spirit will live on in all of the many family, friends and acquaintances that brought such joy to his life.
