These interviews are indexed for quick retrieval of segments pertaining to specifi c topics of interest within a particular interview or across the entire collection. Garry W. Hood discusses his 40-year career as a Stage Manager from his start in local Tennessee television production on Hee-Haw to work on variety programs including Dancing with the Stars and the Olympics; award shows such as the Grammys and the Academy Awards; and live specials like Grease Live! and Hairspray Live! Hood's advice to young Stage Managers: "Number one, it's the prep. You've got to do your homework and you've got to know the project. If you're ready when you get to the on-camera days and everything changes, you can execute those things quickly. Then you share that each day with your team because they've all got an assignment and if all those things don't happen, then the whole wheel is not turning. If you do that hard work and you do it good, you're going to be successful, you're going to work, you're going to be busy." Garry W.
