At Riverview Vineyard—one of Scheid Family Wines' estate vineyards in the north end of Monterey County—Chardonnay and Pinot Noir have already proven they're wor - thy of greatness for the Metz Road label. Situated two miles southeast of Soledad on a bench overlooking the Salinas River, the 338-acre vineyard lies east of the Santa Lucia Highlands. But unlike sites in the SLH, the Riverview property is fully exposed to the fog and wind that develops almost daily in this valley.
