Come learn about a variety of dif- ferent programs that will save you money. December 5 • Student Management Classified employees as support profession- als on campus are faced with student man- agement all the time. This highly interactive training is designed to enable participants to reinforce good behavior, establish rules and routines, build positive relationships, and learn more effective communication with students. It is geared towards any support professionals who interact with students (bus drivers, security, paraeducators, assistants and aides, food services, front office staff, etc.). December 6 • Rights and Important Information that all Classified Employees Should Know The Phoenix Union CEA has successfully negotiated many rights for classified employ- ees that are contained in our Professional Agreement. Our Professional Agreement is the most extensive agreement for classified employees in all of Arizona. Come learn about important things you should know about the Professional Agreement and your rights around evaluations, overtime/comp time/flex time, absences, position advertising, and other important topics. December 13 • 2013 Legislative Session Preview–What will the Arizona Legislature be up to next? AEA Lobbyist Jennifer Loredo will discuss the results of the election and what it means for public education and our teachers and educa- tion support professionals when the legislative session begins in January.
