K Metal Chasing Once The Actor gets sand blasted, the sculpture goes through the "metal chase" process, where casting imperfections are fixed using welding techniques and air tools to grind and polish the surface to a natural bronze golden tone. L Coloring To get the little man to the right color, the sculpture is torched, going through a chemical oxidation process that turns its color from gold to a beautiful greenish-blue. The first application gives it a dark black undertone. Then the artisan applies cupric nitrate to achieve the greenish look. M Base Installation Finally, The Actor is mounted on a beautifully crafted black granite base, which is 4.5 inches in diameter by 5 inches tall. After the base has been installed, The Actor is ready to be engraved and handed off to his new friend — a recipient of a 24th Annual SAG Awards Actor!
