What is Saturn Demanding? inspire E verything goes in cycles and has seasons, even our government. The end of 2017 and the beginning of 2018 is signifi - cant for more reasons than just the new year. It is signifi cant because every 30 years Saturn enters the sign of Capricorn. For the past two-and-a-half years, Saturn has resided in Sag- ittarius and this month Saturn fi nally moves and shifts into the next sign, Capricorn. Saturn in Capricorn describes the planet that infl uences struc- tures and concretizing theory into reality while bringing results. This planet is entering the sign of government. This shift tells us that the government, our government, is go- ing to be challenged in order to see whether or not it can sustain this change. Saturn is demanding that the forms in our govern- ment have function; if the form doesn't function, don't worry — just behind Saturn is Pluto and Pluto is about radical change. These two planets in Capricorn will be there all year. Saturn enters in December and by the end of 2018 will be standing right next to Pluto. If the government can't sustain this much change by then, it's going to break. So, we're predicting that the requirement for people right now is to discover that you are your own government and to stop externalizing leadership. You are the president. You are the leader. You are the ones we've been waiting for. If we are not individually responsible, if we continue to blame the government, we won't be able to withstand the changes. The current structures may not be strong enough to hold the radical change that Trump is bringing. No matter your personal political point of view, it's irrelevant astrologically. Trump's function is to Saturnize, concretize, or over-stimulate forms; an old structure that must be dismantled. Our suggestion, as astrologers, is to take full responsibility for your life and stop blaming others. We are in a time of Awakening. This two-and-a-half-year win- dow asks us stand up in our leadership. It's very specifi c. Awake means: Are you the leader? Or do you look outside of yourself and complain? While seasons move and change, notice whether or not we are experiencing an easy change or a challenging one. This is the time to develop the ability to stand apart and observe. This is the true art of astrology — how to perceive the world and others without judgment but instead through a lens of love and compassion. And if you are born between the years of 1958-1961 or 1988-1991, this time is of greater importance, as this is YOUR Saturn return.
