A traditional Scottish cooking vessel containing a stew that celebrates the history of Speyside was paired with two Glenfiddich cocktails: first, a sous-vide application served at room temperature, then a second served over ice to accentuate acidity and fruit. 2016 FINALIST: From Arizona's Brian Goodwin, three Glenfiddich marques were paired with three desserts: 14YO with s'mores, 12YO with yuzu and green tea sorbet, and a 21YO with apple pie—all tied together by a cloche filled with caramel smoke from a tobacco blend called Gold Rush. The contest is open to working bartenders within the 50 United States and must be legal age of 21 or older to compete. Employees of William Grant USA, and The Tasting Panel Magazine, Inc., or their representatives, are not eligible. 2. This contest is presented by The Tasting Panel Magazine. 3. Participation in the contest constitutes full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these official rules and the decision of the sponsor, which are final and binding. Winning the prize is contingent upon being compliant with these official rules and fulfilling all requirements set forth herein. 4. We will work with The Tasting Panel Magazine to select 16 persons to advance to the regional finals in Scotland in January 2018. 5. Prizes are not transferable and not redeemable for cash.
