CRAZY GOOD Chris McNeill of Seed Kitchen PHOTOS: EDWARD ZELTSER Once the Stockholm Syndrome cocktail at Atlanta's Seed Kitchen hits your palate, the puzzling name begins to make sense: Like the mental condition in which victims love their kidnappers for no sensible reason, mixologist Chris McNeill explains, "this drink seems intimidating at first glance, but after just a few sips, your taste buds will be captured by the slightly nutty sweetness that orgeat provides, balanced by the tart fresh lime juice." Karlsson's brings the mystifying yet enticing cocktail to a new level. "Karlsson's is ahead of the curve for vodka," McNeill said. McNeill believes that Karlsson's has become so in-demand because it engages with flavors instead of masking them, which is why the Stockholm Syndrome will continue its six-ingredient show well into the fall season, with rave reviews. —A.K. Harper Station perfectly accentuates the full history of Georgia—with a modern twist. Just like the daring story of Georgia's past, the mixology mecca's owner and mixologist, Jerry Slater, takes diners on a wild ride with his barrel- aged cocktail, No Depression #2. Slater leaves his followers salivating with anticipation to try the new drink as it sits in the barrel waiting for its debut. Slater explains, "We tell them when they see it in the barrel that they can't have it for another two weeks, and they come back excited to try it." Jerry Slater When No Depression #2 is finally poured into its coupe glass, Slater expects that it will be a punch of originality, thanks to Karlsson's of Gold. "Karlsson's is fascinating because you can taste tones of hazelnut, cocoa and black pepper. It almost doesn't even taste like vodka, so because it because it is more fla orful flavorful w we take our time finding the right components." —A.K. components e take our time finding of H.
