THE MESSAGE 18 / the tasting panel / august 2017 Domaines Paul Mas at The Curator Gallery W inemaker Jean-Claude Mas of Domaines Paul Mas estates in the Languedoc joined forces with Ann Moore, owner of The Curator Gallery in New York's Chelsea district and former CEO of Time Inc., to celebrate a night of art and wine. Guests included curator Bill Shapiro, former Editor-in-Chief of Life, and photogra- pher Jonathan Smith, whose original works, shot in Iceland and Patagonia, are on exhibit. Mas announced the 2018 release of the limited Astelia series of collectible art bottles designed by Languedoc-based Christophe Heymann. Each bottle will be a unique work of art, enclosing a rare, estate cuvée made by the Mas family vineyards. In addition to a preview of this wine, others poured during the night included Côté Mas rosé, red and whites (named after Mas's wine-country restaurant and retreat in the south of France), as well as a spar- kling Côté Mas Crémant de Limoux Rosé from St. Hilaire.
