In addition, facilities are able to license and use as many Scratch or Lab licenses as they need while paying one annual fee (some restrictions apply, they say). These facilities are also now able to manage and license their Scratch systems from a new "My Assimilate" online portal available via the Assimilate Website. International News Hackenbacker posts sound for A Mother's Son L ONDON — Hackenbacker has completed full audio post on A Mother's Son, a hard-hitting thriller that aired on ITV1 in early September. Starring Martin Clunes, Hermione Norris and Paul McGann, A Mother's Son (pictured) is set around the mur- der of a teenage school girl in Suffolk and various members of the commu- nity who are connected to it. At the heart of the plot lies a mother's suspicion that her son may be capable of murder. Hackenbacker (www.hackenbacker.com) was commis- sioned to handle the audio post on the program by ITV Studios' producer Colin Wratten. Studio founder Nigel Heath handled the final mix for the show, which was presented as two 60-minute episodes. "Hackenbacker delivered a sympathetic sound design very much in keeping with the brief of the show," notes Wratten. "The team created rich atmospheres and a delicately balanced mix of our multi-layered score versus the crisp dialogue. As with previous shows, the workflow was seamless.
