4 February, 2017 l Working World l WorkingWorld.com "I" CAN RELATE How Not To Lose Yourself in Relationships by Wanda L. Scott Reviewed by Tshombye K. Ware for Readers' Favorite "I" Can Relate by Wanda L. Scott is a devotional book about developing relationships in the right perspective: God first, then man. The author teaches the importance of self-evaluation using biblical principles and profound teachings as readers enter moments of "I can relate," or "I can't relate." The author takes her time, from a biblical viewpoint, to break down the word "RELATIONSHIP" in order to build upon a teachable foundation. Each chapter takes a portion of the word "RELATIONSHIP" and expounds on it in a wonderful way, using scriptures to drive home the point of understanding our place in God's mind. I found this book to be a nicely written devotional that teaches the importance of developing a relationship with God. As the author states, "Our entire life is made up of relationships. The most important relationship should be with God, and the rest of the relationships that we form will fall in line with the maturity or depth of our relationship with God." This speaks volumes to me. When our lives are in the right perspective, everything will flow. We have to make sure our relationship with God is top priority. My mind goes to the scripture that says - in Luke 10:27 - 'And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbor as thyself.' I recommend this book for anyone looking for a change in their lives, for those seeking mental deliverance from past relationships, and for anyone seeking to grow "IN" God. This book will minister to the body, mind, and spirit. 25-YEAR-OLD MILLIONAIRE It's So Simple! by Luke Burke Reviewed by Darin Godby for Readers' Favorite Author Luke Burke gives the reader a simple solution of how to make money even at a young age. In his book 25-Year-Old Millionaire - It's So Simple, he explains how a person can take action rather than look for excuses as to why one can't improve their financial status. He tries to explain how one can believe the lies told to us as we are growing up; that we will always be like someone else and never amount to much. We must retrain our focus and belief system, allowing our mind to believe that we can achieve what no one around us has been able to do. There is a discussion of time and how we must use it to our advantage rather than allowing it to slip through our fingers. When we use our time wisely, change the way we think, and put our positive ideals into action, then we begin to move forward in the right direction, turning ourselves around to become that millionaire. Thinking positively can bring life changing results as one grasps the opportunities that are presented. The author encourages the reader to stand out from the crowd by being innovative and willing to go beyond the norm. Author Burke gives the reader great inspiration in how to stand out from others to become that successful individual that one desires to become. This book offers ideals, resources, and examples of what to do to create the millionaire mind-set. Taking ownership of past mistakes is how one can change their present situation and move into a bountiful future. This is a great resource to encourage and inspire the reader to become the prosperous person they have previously only dreamed about. 10 THINGS I WISH I KNEW IN HIGH SCHOOL Finding Academic Success and Career Satisfaction by Sarah E.
