PEOPLE www.postmagazine.com 40 POST FEBRUARY 2017 DAN HERMELIN Colorist Dan Hermelin has joined Burbank's Roundabout Entertainment, bringing with him more than 20 years of post experience and a resume that includes work on features, televi- sion and restoration projects. The latter includes re-mastering Jerry Maguire, Men in Black and The Deep. At Roundabout, he will service a diverse clientele, including his current project, the animated series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for Nickelodeon. Hermelin spent the past five years at Deluxe, where he worked on restoration projects for Sony Pictures, MGM, Disney and other studios, as well as animation projects for Netflix and Nickelodeon and, prior to that, he spent 17 years at Ascent Media. CESAR DACOL JR. Toronto, Ontario-based Spin VFX welcomes creature/character concept designer and master sculptor, Cesar Dacol Jr. to its roster. Dacol start- ed his career in the makeup effects industry and transitioned to CG in the mid '90s. He designed the hero dinosaur, Gigantasaurus, in Journey to the Center of the Earth, the Werewolves in The Mortal Instruments, and worked on such animated features as The Wild, Happy Feet 2 and live-action features that include, Fantastic Four, 300 and The Incredible Hulk. Dacol will lead the concept team at Spin and will focus on creature and character design. He is presently working to deliver The Disney Channel's movie, Descendants 2 and the second season of sci-fi hit TV se- ries The Expanse from Alcon Entertainment. MARCUS KUHNE El Segundo, CA and New York City-based con- tent studio Big Block has recently added Spanish director Marcus Kuhne to its multifaceted roster. Kuhne has long-been respected and known in the Spanish market and now makes his transition to the American market with such noteworthy achieve- ments as visuals for The Chainsmokers music video, Don't Let Me Down (feat. Daya), which earned Kuhne the 2016 MTV VMA nomination for Best Electronic Video. Recently Kuhne helmed rapper Trinidad James' video for Hipster Stripclub. CHAD MOSELEY Dallas/Santa Monica digital studio, Reel FX, has hired Chad Moseley as senior designer. Moseley has nearly a decade of experience in motion graphics and design, spanning television, advertising and broadcast promos. He comes to Reel FX from Starz Entertainment, where he spent two years as a broadcast designer, concepting and executing pro- motions for original programming for such series as Outlander, Da Vinci's Demons and Flesh and Bone. His work for top brands such as Enterprise, Nestle, Purina and Busch Gardens has earned him nu- merous industry accolades, including a Gold American Advertising Award (AAA), a Gold Addy Award and an AAF Best of Digital Award. JACKIE LEE, DAVE GROVE LA's Deluxe has promoted two long- time executives into new roles. Dave Grove, former SVP of sales for Efilm, moves into the role of SVP, global feature sales. Jackie Lee, former SVP of feature services for Deluxe's Company 3, has taken on an expanded role as SVP, global client strategy, creative enterprise sales, supporting clients across Deluxe's full portfolio of creative services worldwide. To support clients' feature needs for color, finishing and dailies solutions, Grove will leverage the services of Deluxe's Los Angeles-based Efilm and Company 3, with studios in Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta and London; and coordinate with Deluxe facilities in Toronto, Vancouver and Spain. Lee will focus on developing deeper client relationships; connecting clients to the full range of the company's creative services and brands and matching them with the right talent and capabilities across post, VFX, VR and creative marketing for features, episodics and advertising. JODY MADDEN, PHIL PARSONAGE London-based creative software developer The Foundry has appointed Jody Madden as chief product officer alongside her existing role as chief customer officer. Phil Parsonage becomes director of engineering in another executive appointment. Madden previously held the position of COO at The Foundry and will continue to hold the role of chief customer officer. She has formerly taken on technology management roles in organizations including Digital Domain and Industrial Light & Magic. As The Foundry's CPO, Madden is responsible for managing the company's full product line and delivering innovative software to the market. Parsonage has been with The Foundry for over 10 years and has combined strategic, technical and operational skills to run its engineering function. As part of overseeing this area, he is responsible for conceiving and implementing the company's technical strategy. CAROLE DENIS, DIANA KUNST, GRACIE OTTO LA-based Joinery welcomes three new directors to its roster: French filmmaker Carole Denis, Spanish director Diana Kunst and Australian filmmaker Gracie Otto. Denis is sought-after in both the European and US markets for her ability to bring compelling story elements to all of her work. She has worked with a wide range of clients including Maybelline, Garnier, Pantene, Olay, Nina Ricci, Bang & Olufsen, Martin Gant and Royal Enfield. Kunst was just 19-years old when her fashion films caught the attention of prominent production companies. She has become an acclaimed director in the world of advertising, receiving multiple awards including a Cannes Silver Lion. Kunst worked on campaigns for Gucci, U.S. Polo and Le Chatueau. Otto is one of Australia's most respected young filmmakers as well as a writ- er, editor and actress. She made her feature-length directing debut in 2013 with the documentary The Last Impresario and has directed celebrity talent such as Miranda Kerr, Elle Fanning, Selena Gomez and Abbey Lee Kershaw.
