Page 7 Christina School District's Brennen School (a nationally-recognized autism program serving students in New Castle County) is well-represented at DSEA's Annual Future Teacher Golf Tournament. No, these three did not win, but they exhibited the spirit of DSEA's benefit golf tournament - having fun for a great cause. Golf tournament raises $8,000 for future teachers "I had never played before," says "I t was very hot, but we had a great time," says Heather Novy. They didn't let the fact that their borrowed clubs didn't have full sets. No putter? Didn't matter. That they didn't win didn't matter either: they had a great time for a great cause. In its eleventh year, the tourna- ment is the sole funding source for DSEA's Future Teacher Scholarship Fund, a competitive $1,000/year grant to help aspiring educators from Delaware public schools with their costs for college. The most recent recipient is Joshua Dean Baker of Sussex Central High School. Novy, "and I can't wait to play again." See more photos of friends and family on pages 8 and 9.
