I make them re-evaluate how they go about tasting spirits. I force them to use their palate over brand recognition. They try the whisk(e)y and it's exactly what they wanted (but didn't know), and then they are a customer for life. Name one person with whom you would like to drink whisk(e)y and why. Freddy Mercury, because he has a voice of an angel and style to match. In your opinion why is this category on the rise? With bourbon especially I think there is a sense of pride. This is a spirit that can only be made in our country. The process cannot be rushed. It takes time to make such a beautiful spirit and that is also why I think age statements have become somewhat of an obsession of ours. I also think women are drinking more whisk(e)y. There are too many to name. There are educational leaders [Bridget Albert] and all of the brand ambassadors [Robin Nance, Brooke Arthur and Zahra Bates]. The industry is changing. If I had to answer this question five years ago, it would not have been so hard. But, luckily, ladies are coming up in this industry quickly and are beginning to dominate. It makes me so proud to do what I do. I get to surround myself with some of the most talented people I've ever seen in this industry. They just so happen to be women. Fill in this sentence: "Women should always ____ when drinking whisk(e)y and should never _____." Women should always have great company when drinking whisk(e) y and should never forget what Beyoncé said. [Who run the world? Girls, girls.] Knob Creek Whiskey Cup ◗ 1¼ oz.
