Newman's American-Bar: English and American Drinks ($27.95); the first American-published recipe for this same iconic drink, which showed up in 1906 in Louis' Mixed Drinks with Hints for Care & Serving Wines ($27.95) by Louis Muckensturm; and the rule- breaking The Home Bartender's Guide & Song Book ($27.95) by Charlie Roe and Jim Schwenck, published in 1930 while Prohibition was still in full force. Cocktail Kingdom enlisted noted modern-day drink legends Fernando Castellon, Philip Duff, Jeff "Beachbum" Berry to pen introduc- tions that examine the historical significance of American Bar, Louis' Mixed Drinks and The Home Bartender's Guide, respectively. B eam Suntory Inc. announced the appointments of David Hunter as Senior Vice President, Chief Supply Chain Officer and Steve Fechheimer as Senior Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer. Hunter most recently served as Vice President, Global Manufacturing, and will oversee the company's global supply chain and manufacturing operations. Fechheimer was most recently Beam Suntory's Vice President–Strategy & Corporate Development and will oversee corporate strat- egy, mergers and acquisitions and information technology. "David Hunter is a talented, experienced and respected leader who has demonstrated excep- tional ability to elevate our production operations, drive a culture of excellence and generate fuel to reinvest in the growth of our brands," said Matt Shattock, Chairman & CEO of Beam Suntory. "Steve Fechheimer is a proven enterprise-wide leader who has been instrumental in the development of our strategic plan, our organic and external growth initiatives and the large-scale Beam Suntory integration. David, Steve and their teams will be key to continued execution of Beam Suntory's growth strategy and the pursuit of our ambitious goals." North American Spirits & Wine Brokerage of Virginia, a division of Southern Wine & Spirits of America, Inc., announced the promotion of Nick Grieder to Vice President, General Sales Manager, NASWB, Virginia and West Virginia. Previously, Grieder served as Director of Sales for NASWB in Iowa. In his new role, he will be responsible for leading the NASWB Virginia and West Virginia teams to drive key priorities from its supplier part- ners and develop strategic initiatives to increase both volume and value growth in both markets. Grieder's career spans more than 16 years in the beverage industry. Bacchus Wineworks—the sales and market- ing company founded by Sam Bronfman, Peter Kaufman and Henry Owsley of Bacchus Capital Management, representing DeLille Cellars, Madrigal Family Winery, Panther Creek Cellars, Sbragia Family Vineyards and Upchurch Vineyard—appointed David Simpson to Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Simpson's responsibilities include managing Wineworks' distributor relationships and trade initiatives, as well as the company's growing team of Brand Ambassadors and Sales Managers.
