"The SIGGRAPH Comput- er Animation Festival has a reputation for excellence that we are very proud of and have worked hard to maintain," says Rose. "We reach out to passion- ate storytellers and artisans from around the world, asking them to share their best work with us. The result is a com- pilation of the very latest and greatest projects, created using innovations in technology as well as methodology." This year, 499 pieces were submitted to the festival (excluding the curations), with 131 accepted. Of those, 33 will appear in the Electronic Theater, and the remaining will be shown in the Daytime Selects (two pieces from the theater are also part of the Daytime Selects). In addition to spanning many genres, the works come from many corners of the globe, as 82 of the 131 projects originated from outside the US. "The Computer Animation Festival is always a great repre- sentation of the best work in the industry, and this year's show does not disappoint! We were pleased with the overall quality of all the submissions, and are thrilled with the choices our jury made," says Rose. "They had extremely tough decisions to make because so many of the submissions were excellent." Rose adds, "We are very proud of this show and cannot wait to present it to the world at SIGGRAPH 2015!" Nebula SMITE: Battleground of the Gods The OceanMaker The Alchemist's Letter Space-Fluids
