people MARGARET CRAIG Burlington, MA-based Signiant has added Margaret Craig as CEO. She will focus on expanding and managing the company's growth within the media and entertainment industry. Craig was recently COO of network services for Ascent Media Group, which provided media management, content distribution and 24/7 broadcast services to media companies. Other previous senior positions include CEO at Leitch and president of Snell and Wilcox USA. CRAIG JUSTIN LANE VFX house MPC has named Justin Lane managing director of its New York office. Prior to joining MPC, Lane spent more than seven years as a partner/executive producer at brand Psyop/ MassMarket. Lane's credits while there include Allstate Mr. Mayhem; Snickers Betty White; Mon- ster.com Legs; Absolut Dissection; and Nike Human Chain. Awards include three for AICP, two Clios and a Bronze Lion at Cannes. LANE MARK LANZO Mark Lanzo has returned to Sony Pic- tures in Culver City as sound designer after a 10-year absence. Most recently he working at Universal, supervising the pilot for Grimm. Since his return to Sony he supervised the first three episodes of Showtime's Homeland, and the eight- episode run of Charlie's Angels. He is now design- ing for all the shows in the TV department. Lanzo is currently a member of the Academy of Televi- sion Arts and Sciences and serves on the execu- tive board of the MPSE. LANZO SETH TABOR NYC's Katabatic Digital has added 15-year industry vet Seth Tabor to its creative team as executive producer. In his new role, Tabor will head up client services and business develop- ment. Tabor has held production and managing positions at Open Frame Productions and Curi- ous Pictures before becoming the managing director/CFO at Quiet Man, where he oversaw projects for clients such as Gillette, Proctor & Gamble, Pepsi Max, McDonald's and GE. BEN EAGLETON Sydney-based Fuel VFX has hired Ben Eagleton as head of color. Eagleton is a 20-year veteran of color management services. He worked at London's Rushes before emigrating to Australia where he was a senior colorist at The Lab. In '07 he opened Bean in Sydney, a facility specializing in data grad- ing. In recent years, he has worked on spot cam- paigns and music videos for directors Spike Lee, Gerard de Thame, Jake Scott, Chris Cunningham, Jonathan Glazer and Paul Hunter. LAUREN BLEIWEISS Creative edit house Final Cut New York has hired Lauren Bleiweiss as executive producer. Prior to joining Final Cut, she was executive producer at music studio Human Worldwide for seven years. While there, Blei- weiss was involved in developing their brand, as well as expanding the company to London and Los Angeles. She oversaw projects for Coke, Nike, Stella, American Express, Jameson, UPS and Fanta. LYNCH DANIEL LYNCH Xytech, maker of facility management soft- ware, has named Daniel Lynch general man- ager of its London office. Previously with the Associated Press, where he was head of tech- nology & strategy, he is now responsible for managing Xytech's UK-based operations. With the AP for 20 years, Lynch has overseen the installation of many complex scheduling and facility management systems. SALVINO FRANK SALVINO Frank Salvino has joined Hollywood's CSS Studios as director of feature film business development. He will service existing feature film clients and develop new sales for compa- nies within the CSS Studios group, including Soundelux, Todd-AO, Sound One, Modern Music and POP Sound. He will report to Jeffrey Eisner, senior VP, feature film and television busi- ness development. Salvino brings almost 20 years of experience as a post supervisor to CSS Studios, including nine years at New Line Cinema, where he held the title vice president, feature post production. He has worked as a freelance post production supervisor for the past two years.
