INDUSTRY SPOTLIGhT Appointments C Elizabeth Vianna. himney Rock winemaker Elizabeth Vianna has been promoted to the position of General Manager of the famed Stags Leap District winery. Vianna fi rst came to Chimney Rock Winery in 1999, as a harvest enologist, working with Doug Fletcher, Vice President of Winemaking for The Terlato Wine Group. In 2005 Vianna’s responsibilities were expanded when she was named head winemaker. Vianna will continue in her role as Chimney Rock’s head winemaker and is excited to be building on the unique history and reputation of the Chimney Rock Winery. Eva Bertran has been appointed VP, Marketing for Freixenet USA, overseeing the company’s entire portfolio, which includes sparking and still wines from Spain, California, Argentina, Italy and France. Andy Glaser is the new CEO for Purity Vodka, an ultra- premium brand now available in New York, California, Nevada and Georgia, Glaser was formerly with Moët Hennessy. Andy Glaser. Ralph Sartori has been appointed VP/Sales, Western Division for Wilson Daniels. He was formerly Director of Sales/CA for Diageo Chateau & Estates. Industry veteran Phil Gervasi has joined Patrón Spirits as Exec VP of Sales, reporting to COO John McDonnell. Gervasi was Senior VP/GM for Diageo North America. Andrew Chun and Jan Wiginton, co-founders of San Francisco’s Press Club, a wine bar and lounge, announced today the appointment of Kristian Cosentino—a certifi ed Level 1 Sommelier—to the role of General Manager. He will oversee the day-to-day management and assist in the rollout of new food menus, a local beer menu and Press Club’s new rotating wineries program. Phil Gervasi. Kristian Cosentino.
