The celebrity designer, whose gowns have adorned Natalie Portman, Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz, among other A-list stars, created a limited-edition bespoke brunch menu, which will be served at toney brasserie Le Caprice though June 26 and complements the newest maceration in Belvedere’s popular line. The vodka stars in special cocktails such as Belvedere Pineapple Mary, Belvedere Very Mary and the Belvedere Classic Mary. “Brunch can be fabulous when you have the right meal, cocktail and outfit,” kvelled Posen. “I’m an avid fan of any brunch occa- sion, so I’m delighted to be working with Le Caprice to create an irresistible menu to complement the new Belvedere Bloody Mary.” —Lana Bortolot Beautiful Belvedere, Beautiful People I t shouldn’t be much of a surprise that one of L.A.’s most exclusive accounts, Soho House West Hollywood, would be filled with beauti- ful people, but when we stopped by for a chic, sleek Belve Bloody Brunch, we were greeted by the town’s hottest hotties, all of whom turned out for brunch à la cocktail party. While trays of mini quiches and eggs Florentine were passed around, models, actresses and comedienne Chelsea Handler sipped on chic cocktails like the Belvedere Pineapple Mary, a sweet-savory flavorbomb that proves that Belvedere Bloody Mary is no one-trick pony. “I wanted to show you how versatile Bloody Marys can be,” explained Claire Smith, Head of Spirit Creation and Mixology at Belvedere. Smith answered the call with ease, offering up a classic Mary and a Belvedere Bloody Bellini in addition to the Pineapple Mary. —Rachel Burkons Belvedere Mixologist Claire Smith with Boe Trumbull, Senior Director of Operations at the SBE Group. 110 / the tasting panel / june 201 1 Belvedere Bloody Mary, the brand’s latest maceration, launched nationwide last month with star-studded Belve Bloody Brunch events in major markets.
