SPRING 2014 | wyoea.org SPRING 2014 | WEAnews 6 As the Wyoming Education Association's Vice President, and as the Chair of the WEA Membership Committee, I am very excited to inform all members across the state about our Grab 3 membership campaign and the Early Enrollment campaign. The collective voice of your Local and the WEA gives every education employee in the state of Wyoming an opportunity to be part of improving public education on behalf of all of our students. We must continue to build and strengthen that voice! The Grab 3 membership campaign is an opportunity for every Local in the state to have 3 new members (or more) join WEA right now! This goal is very attainable, which excites me, and I truly believe that Locals can and will accomplish this goal. We are seeing progress and currently have had 52 new members join with the Grab 3 campaign since January 15. I encourage you and your Local Association to identify potential members that you can visit with about the benefits of belonging to WEA and invite them to join today. (Please note that the prorated dues schedule is in effect when determining the cost of a new member's dues.) April 1 marks the start of our annual Early Enrollment campaign. What is that? Early Enrollment is a way for potential members to take WEA and NEA for a "test drive" for free. If they join, they get most of the same benefits as regular members (the exceptions are legal coverage and some NEA Member Benefits) without cost. When September 1 comes, they will automatically be full members of the Association and start paying full dues. Thank you in advance for all that you do. I am most appreciative, and I know that our combined efforts will, in fact, grow and strengthen WEA. Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions or if I can be of any additional help.
